Recommendations come from daily use on real design projects, backed by research into specs and owner feedback.
Daily use first
Gear goes into the actual workflow: UI design in Figma and Framer, illustration, photo editing and long writing sessions. We note comfort, reliability and the small annoyances that only show up after weeks of use.
What we check
- Drawing tablets: pen feel, pressure response, driver stability on macOS and Windows, setup time.
- Monitors: colour gamut coverage, factory calibration, uniformity, USB-C and stand ergonomics.
- Mice and keyboards: comfort over a full day, precision, customisation and battery life.
- Desk gear: build quality, adjustability and value over years, not days.
Research we add
Where we have not used a product long-term, we say so, and lean on manufacturer specifications, independent lab measurements and patterns in verified owner reviews.
